The Pittsburgh Penguins lost their first pre-season game last night to the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2.

Crosby and Malone each notched their first tallies of the pre-season but a Kovalev goal with 30 seconds remaining in overtime gave the Canadiens their first exhibition win.
